Brothers and sister Marco, Richard and Alejandra Sanz run this certified organic estate in Rueda, South of Valladolid. The estate has 160 ha in production (including 30 ha of pre-phylloxera vines). The soil-type consist of sandy clay and are covered with pebbles in most part.  Hand-harvesting, use of carbonic snow instead of sulphur, natural yeasts and low yields are some of the techniques used to produce the trade-mark Menade style of pure and expressive wines.

V3 is an extraordinary Verdejo. It comes from 18 differents plots of very old, pre-phylloxera verdejo vines. the grapes are hand-harvested and whole clusters are gently pressed. The fermentation with natural yeasts takes place in 500 litres French oak barrels  (new and up to 6 years of age) where the wine will stay on its lees for about eight months. It is then bottled after a light filtration. The result is a deep, intense wine with the most appealing scents of tropical fruit, wild herbs – thyme, fennel, spices – white fruit and citrus. The extremely well judged use of oak enhance the palate, it adds creamy softness to the layers of white fruit and minerals. The superb ending seems to be lasting forever.
