Pierre and Monique Luneau are in charge of this well-known 50-ha estate based in Le Landreau near Nantes for the past 30 years. Their son, Pierre-Marie, representing the 8th generation of Luneau on the estate, is slowly taking over and continues the work carried out by his parents. Respect for Nature, attention to details and total dedication to quality are the key words here.
The Folle Blanche or Gros Plant is a grape widely planted in the Cognac, Armagnac areas. Here it is grown on soils consisting primarily of schists, harvested at perfect maturity, it has spent 6 months on its fine lees. The result is a sea-influenced light wine, vividly fresh and articulate, showing discreet, yet precise aromas of citrus and wild flowers. These aromas are also found on the palate where they are complemented by saline notes and tongue-tingling, refreshingly zesty acidity.
