WEINGUT NIKLAS, LAGREIN SUDTIROLER

€25,55

The dark rubis red coloured Lagrein has a clean, upfront fruit character - dark berries, savoury plum - with toffee and smokey bacon hints. The palate is intensely flavoured and persistent, and the flavours found on the nose are balanced by a juicy acidity. Gorgeous and different. Best served on the cool side. This works very well with venison and dark meats.

"Ripe damson preserves and black currant notes mix with hints of creamy licorice snap, smoke, graphite and espresso in this somewhat burly red. Fresh and lively, with a beefy note on the finish. Best from 2012 through 2017. Wine Spectator
