100% Cot (Malbec) - Blackberry on the nose, with damp earth, gamey and flowery notes. The palate is plush and mouth-filling, with vivifying freshness and liveliness thanks to its upfront acidity, it shows pronounced aromas of wild berries, cherry and liquorice. Wild yeast fermentation, unfiltered and no added SO2. Delicious, complex, intriguing stuff.
Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme trained and worked with Thierry Puzelat, Domaine Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme is the continuation and evolution of the now defunct Puzelat-Bonhomme négociant project. Thierry has gone back to his family estate, Clos Tue Boeuf and Pierre-Olivier continue on his own the project and renamed it Domaine Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme. He continues making the wines that put Puzelat-Bonhomme on the map: Touraine Sauvignon, La Tesnière Blanc and Rouge, In KO We Trust and of course the infamous and ever-popular Telquel.
Over the last few years, Pierre-O has also been able to purchase some vines with which he produces, amongst others an old vine Sauvignon and a Cheverny Rouge.
