‘A very fresh and very Pinot nose of red berry fruit leads to racy, pure and attractively detailed flavours that are supported by relatively fine tannins for a wine at this level. A Bourgogne of finesse.’ Allen Meadows
Louis Boillot estate was officially born in 2002, when Domaine Lucien Boillot was split between brothers Louis and Pierre. Louis inherited 7 ha of vineyards in both Côtes de Nuits and Côte de Beaune and has recently moved his cellar with his wife Ghislaine Barthod in Chambolle-Musigny. The consistency of Louis’s range is quite impressive; his wines are whistle-clean, deeply-flavoured and elegant Burgundies.
"Since 2005 Louis Boillot has been no less consistent than his wife, Ghislaine Barthod, which is a high, high compliment in my book." Allen Meadow, Burghound.com
