Frank Bailly owns and runs this consistent, solid-performer 20-ha estate. The vineyards are located on the slopes of Sancerre, Bué and Chavignol. The blend of these three different terroirs (caillottes, terres blanches and silex) contribute greatly to the balance and consistency found in the wines produced by this remarkable estate. Hard work in the vineyard and light hand in the winery ensure that the wines are pure and terroir-driven.
Sancerre is more known for its white Sauvignon blanc wines, however some reds (Pinot Noir) are also produced there. Franck Bailly’s is a light, fragrant Pinot Noir with unmistakable raspberry, strawberry and black cherry aromas; the palate is vivid and fresh with deliciously ripe and juicy red berry and cherry flavours.
