Taylor's

Founded more than three centuries ago, in 1692, the company Taylor is one of the oldest houses in Porto. It produces only port wines in exceptional style. Taylor port wines are renowned for their robust construction, concentrated flavor, elegance, poise, a kind of "masculine" style and durability, as many of them can be stored for fifty years or more. First of all, Taylor is considered the standard of vintage port, including Late Bottled Vintage. Taylor port wines are made from the best harvests from its own estates: Vargellas, Terra Feita and Junco. Each of these three iconic farms occupying a separate geographical location and a unique character, is the cornerstone of the company's success and the main source to create a unique style of the house.

First of all, Taylor is an independent family-owned company, in which family members play a leading role in all areas of the company. Prolonged and continuous family tradition formed continuity and clarity of purpose and the necessary attributes of any great wine houses. It is also possible to consolidate the skills and knowledge needed to create the best ports that are constantly refined, enhanced and improved in the light of experience, transmitted from one generation to another.
Taylor's family has been actively involved at all stages of their vintage ports - from the planting of vineyards and the cultivation of grapes to aging, blending and bottling. In the future, Taylor's family also intends to demonstrate a focused commitment to high standards in the production of Porto, continually investing in all aspects of the company, seeking to preserve the unique environment of the Douro Valley by promoting sustainable and responsible viticulture.
