Châteauneuf du Pape Traditionnelle is well-structured, concentrated, and full-bodied, it offers a classic southern Rhone aromatic display of ground pepper, garrigue, cherry liqueur, plums, and cedar with sweet, expansive, and pure fruit flavours and excellent delineation.
A blend of 75% Grenache and the rest mostly Syrah and Mourvedre, with small amounts of Counoise, Vaccarese and Cinsault, this wine, aged in foudres, has an open-knit, fragrant bouquet of black cherries, spicy, peppery herbs and licorice. It is medium-garnet in color, full-bodied, generous, corpulent, and a sexy, complex, relatively evolved Chateauneuf du Pape.
