Guy Allion, Pinot Noir - IGP Loire

€21,50

boasts a delicate crimson hue, adorned with silky purple highlights. Its aroma is complex, luscious black and red fruits - strawberries, blackcurrants, and raspberries. The palate is velvety and ripe, black cherry, plum, liquorice and spice.

The Pinot Noir grapes come from southwest exposed clay-siliceous slopes of the right bank of the Cher River, the vines were planted in 1974. Fully destemmed, traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with regular pump-overs. After a gentle resting period in the tanks, the wine matures for an average of 10 months in oak barrels that have previously held three vintages.
