Madregale Bianco is a zippy, fresh white made from Chardonnay along with Trebbiano d’Abruzzo. A superb quality ‘house wine’, this is made from hand harvested grapes and indigenous yeast fermentation, which may well account for its bright, fresh drinkability. Uncomplicated, but very well made. Dry (3.5 g/l residual sugar), with appley fruit and a lightly tropical citrus edge, this is easy to drink on its own as an aperitif or would complement light seafood or pasta dishes like spaghetti with clams.
